Hey David ! On your next visit to India, please try to Visit my state Odisha. Bro, I guarantee you'll love it. People here are really good, they are helpful. You'll discover a ton of temples here. Try to visit Puri on of the best beaches of India and the home to Lord Jagannath. You'll find a diverse taste of sea food too ! And most importantly try to visit Bhubneshwar because it is the smartest city of India. And, there are some places which will give you the feeling of Shanghai and Singapore.
